Yesterday I went to watch the second instalment of The Chronicles of Narnia.
Depending on your expectation, this movie couldn't be as good as the first one. Clearly, this time Narnia is dwelled by thousands of human. The magical creatures are not as many as the first one. Believe me, the story is not as enchanting and magical as before. The only magical thing in this movie is Lucy's healing potion. That's it.
This movie is about warfare between two nations. Yes, very combat-oriented.
So if you expect this movie to be fairy tale like, magical and adventurous, you will be disappointed. I know you still see the White Witch in the trailer. But she just appeared for a while. She attempted to free herself by enticing Prince Caspian and Peter to give her a drop of Sons of Adam's blood. This scene is completely optional and can be removed from the movie.
But I can't deny that Prince Caspian is hot! The role he's holding should be 17 years old. But he quite looks like it. In real life, he's 26!
C. S. Lewis, the original author of the story, has 7 books in total for Chronicles of Narnia. Only three of them feature the four children as we see in the movie. Actually, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe is the best among the seven. Heard that they are going to make a third one soon. It should be the last instalment for this movie.
