Dear Aung San Suu Kyi

Yesterday there was a news about her. She is going on a trial because a foreigner has swam to her house. She is still under house arrest. Many political analysts think that it’s a petty charge against her by the totalitarian government in an attempt to keep her away from their so-called elections in 2010.

Ms Aung San has been using passive and non-violent strategy, as equivalent to Ghandi and Martin Luther King, in an attempt to bring changes to her country - to free people from the fear of the military government.

She probably will not be able to see the success of these changes in her life time. But the impact that she has brought to the rest of the world is enormous. When the government to lay the charges on her this week, a pro-democratic woman in South Korea dressed up like her, confined her self in a cage and put up a banner “Free Aung San Suu Kyi”.

She is one of the women in our lifetime that brings impact to us.
